Michael Phelps

Post by DeeEss57 »

Did anyone else see last night's race?

Like everyone else, I didn't think he had a snowball's chance, but he did it anyway! What an incredible finish!

I'd like to see the touches in slow motion up close. I think at best it was a tie.

Honestly from what i have seen of Phelps is so far above the competion its scary.

One race the nearest guy was three to four seconds behind Phelps that unreal.

They showed a shot before the medley last night from below where you could see it. One of Phelps' hands, the fingers were bent a little at the wall, ie, he had made solid contact. The Serb guy's fingers were just barely touching the wall, ie just setting off the sensor. That's gotta be the shot the officials saw last night in dismissing the protest.

The Phelps diet:
Breakfast: Three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. Two cups of coffee. One five-egg omelet. One bowl of grits. Three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar. Three chocolate-chip pancakes.

Lunch: One pound of enriched pasta. Two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo on white bread. Energy drinks packing 1,000 calories.

Dinner: One pound of pasta. An entire pizza. More energy drinks.
Of course he swims 5 miles a day...

I thought watching that race that he didn't get the win, but what I think doesn't really matter.

Cool, I saw several replays from overhead but it didn't show the hands actually touching and he seemed so unlikely to get it. The other swimmer should have had that one. Good move by Phelps to get his hand in there.
