We're going to the World Series!!

Well, maybe not, but it was still a good game. The newcomers looked good, as did the "veterans" of the team. Hopefully it will be a fun season without too many losses!!

I'm sure nobody will believe this, but in 1987, during spring training, I said the same thing after listening to many games on the radio and following the box scores. :) When they won the series that year my wife said, "You might have been the first to predict it." I reminded her that the guys on "Twins radio" predicted that every year. :)

The '87 Twins and others have made believers of many fans of small market teams... and I am still one too.

Baseball means spring is here... doesn't look like it, but what the heck. I'm ready for some baseball.

Can't wait for that open air stadium!

What was the weather like down there? As messy as over here?

Are you going to predict the Vikings are going to the Super Bowl after they beat Green Bay the first game of the season, too? :D

Personally, I'm not going to get too excited quite yet. The pitching rotation doesn't exactly instill confidence. And why in the world is Liriano in the minors?

THAT scares the hell out of me. I hope its precautionary, but from what I'm reading he doesn't have the same bite to his pitches that he did a few years ago.

Its a precaution. They want him to gain endurance by starting two minor league games and then being called up. Its not a bad idea as it will only keep him from starting maybe 2 games in the majors and during spring training pitchers don't pitch enough innings to get their arms really worked.
