Hypotheical offseason question.
Is there any player in the NFL that you would be comfortable trading AD for?
Not any kind of package deal with draft picks, etc. Just a one on one trade.
I was sitting around thinking about who, out of the current NFL player base, if given the option I'd take if I was starting my own team. I think AD would be the #1 pick in a lot of peoples minds, and I was just trying to figure out if I was just "drinking the purple koolaid".
And ... you know ... bored because it's the off season lol

None of the above IMO, not at this point anyway. RBs can have very short careers but I'd like to see a little more of this guy in purple. There isn't a guy in the league I'd trade him for one/one right now.Demi wrote:Brady and Manning probably about it.
Possibly a Romo/Palmer. And LT would be in the conversation.
LT is a better receiver, and blocker. He's also made it a few seasons without injuries.John wrote: None of the above IMO, not at this point anyway. I'd take a stud QB over a HB any day. You can find, and win with serviceable average HBs, you can rarely do the same with serviceable average QBs.

Tom Brady would be my first pick to build a team around. QB's have a longer shelf life than HB's and Brady could go down as the best signal caller in history.
Besides him, I don't think I'd take anybody. Manning and LT are both too old (compared to AD) and single defensive players don't make quite the impact. Moss is the only WR even worth mentioning but he also has a shorter shelf life left than AD. I don't think there is an OL in the conversation either.

Potential maybe, he also has the potential to miss chunks of games because of injury. He's also not a great, or even good, blocker, and looks pretty bad when he has to catch the ball...Cliff wrote: I think Peterson has the potential to be one of the "All time greats". It's that potential that makes me want to stick with him over any other player I can think of.

All can be fix though... Anyway I wouldn't even trade him. If it happened somehow? I would never trade him for just one single player. It would have to be a package deal. Man I don't even want to think about trading All Day. He is just too good.Demi wrote: Potential maybe, he also has the potential to miss chunks of games because of injury. A Randy Moss fan for life. A Kevin Williams fan for life.
