Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban
Just got back from a Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood concert in Omaha and I gotta say it was the best concert since sliced bread. Honestly
Anyway, I am going to see Keith and Kenny in soldier field Chicago and I was wondering if anybody else might be going, or atleast into country music?
Did u just call me gay?

I saw Kenny Chesney and Sugarland last year in Fargo and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen! Loved it!Krulik wrote:Just got back from a Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood concert in Omaha and I gotta say it was the best concert since sliced bread. Honestly

Didn't anyone ever tell you change is a good thing? But honestly, if you're going to bag 3 of the top country artists out there today, can you atleast name some current ones that aren't "polluting the once great genre".TrenchGoon wrote:I LOVE country music, and for that reason would never go see Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Kerry Underwood or any other of these pop stars poluting a once great genre.
Just my opinion.
I'm against that music, not against you.
I agree that Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Big N Rich, etc have a different sound then the classic country but its all the 5 chord country that we love.
In that said, I don't see how you can call Kenny Chesney poppy. He IS the country scene right now.
Also, Brad Paisley is brilliant with the guitar, Tim McGraw is just unbelievable in concert, and Dierks Bentley and Jack Ingram know how to rock the house.
(i'm just looking for a healthy argument)

Keith is constantly voted as the top live performer, and trust me, if you saw him live... You would absolutely become obsessed with it.VikingMachine wrote: I saw Kenny Chesney and Sugarland last year in Fargo and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen! Loved it!

I'm more than willing to engage in some friendly debate.Krulik wrote: Didn't anyone ever tell you change is a good thing? But honestly, if you're going to bag 3 of the top country artists out there today, can you atleast name some current ones that aren't "polluting the once great genre".

Also want to point out, It isn't just country music suffereing from this disease. For example, As far as I am concerned R&B has become "pop with black people" just as much as country has become "pop with cowboy hat". Its been reduced to an image, but the actual music is just pop, super accessible, super slick, super produced rubbish. It lacks the authenticity which is at the core and the guts of county and soul music.
As for Kenny Chesney, i couldn't name a song he's done, but from the bits and pieces I have heard and seen, its just pop music to me. If however, you wish to point me in the direction of a particular artist/song, I will give it a listen.

Well don't let me hold you back, lets have em. It's hard to pick out just a few Kenny songs, but I picked what I thought cemented his country name. Not necessarily my favorite songs. Favorites?VikingMachine wrote:I woulda picked different Chesney songs than you did Krulik but to each his own.
