Former Minnesota Vikings Star Running Back Wins $250,000 Scratch Game Prize
AUGUST 15, 2007 — A former Minnesota Vikings football star won a $250,000 prize playing the Lottery’s Club Casino Scratch Game.
Bill Brown of Eden Prairie, former Viking running back also known as “Boom Boom” Brown, claimed the prize yesterday at Lottery headquarters in Roseville.
This is not the first big lottery win for Brown, who also won a $100,000 prize in August of 2004.
Congratulations to Bill Brown. The guy is one of the most beloved Viking players. He has had some health problems lately and doesn't get around very well. I'm very happy to see him win this.

He did pretty well in the office equipment business for years I think. But I was thinking the same thing you may be - the guy has a thing for scratch-off games. Probably dumps a fair amount into it.
State run "games" and lottery are a tax on the stupid for the most part. I'm sure Brown can afford to play, and two big wins ($350K) should have him ahead of the game.
