Re: Week 4 Vs. Steelers

Hargrave and Allen are playing much better against the pass than any interior Dlinemen we have had in two seasons, but the problem is that they have been bad against the run for years, and Kwesi knew that when he brought them in.

Turner has improved his pass rushing productivity, but he really ...

Re: Week 3 Vs. Bengals

One thing I found pretty interesting when looking at the pressure numbers between the two QBs. First, McCarthy was pressured a lot more in week 2 than Wentz was. Over half of his drop backs (53.3%), versus 38% for Wentz is a big difference, but digging in further McCarthy and Wentz's time to ...

Re: Week 3 Vs. Bengals

I know JJM hasn't looked good in 7 of 8 quarters he's played. I agree the accuracy was off both games. I give him credit for coming out of his funk and scoring enough for the win. That showed me something. But Wenz was signed to be the backup and he did his job. He certainly didn't take the ...

Seems like Wentz is going to get Darrisaw protecting his blindside and Addison as a #2 in week 4. I foresee a "QB controversy" coming down the road.
I hope you are right.

Re: JJM out - ankle inury

That didn't take long. Maybe Wentz can get us moving. I assume Bosomer will be No 2. With the pressure rate, sacks and hits sooner or later something will happen. If Rouse starts I wouldn't want the snaps. Better off saving the kid. JJM looks a little injury prone. That didn't show up in the ...

Re: Week 2 Vs. Falcons

Harrison Smith out again. Anyone know what's up with him? He's had whatever this illness is going on 2 months it seems.

All we know is that it isnt life threatening and he should recover from it during the season. Alec Lewis was on with PA and they both seemed to know what it was and didn't ...

Re: Week 2 Vs. Falcons

The injuries are crazy one game into the season.

Worried about our #3 CB being a practice squad level CB and almost no depth at ILB now. We better hope Wilson and Pace stay healthy.

Skule was awful on Monday night and will probably continue to suck Sunday night, Turner did very little in limited ...

Re: The Vikings Have Stockpiled a Huge Amount of Ammunition

If JJM, Turner and Jackson become above average starters that will help ease the misses of past drafts. Those misses have been covered up by FA signings. KAM deserves an A for those signings. I'll give him an F right now for his drafting but this year could change that dramatically based on the ...

Re: KAM Extended

I'm really hopeful that some of KAM's more recent drafts start to pay off this year with McCarthy getting his shot as the starting QB and Dallas Turner having a solid year of development behind him. If just those two guys at the top of last year's draft pay off this year, that will go a long way ...

Re: KAM Extended

If KAM were only in charge of free agency and there was another guy who handled the draft, I would be fine with the extension. Or at the very least, if they had fired Grigson instead of giving him a promotion so that KAM at least had someone competent helping him with the draft.

I don't think ...

I didn't reply to it at the time but this is a great video breaking down what happened. So glad the iOL has been revamped. Hopefully it makes a big difference in pass protection as well as the running game.

Yep, I think they did a good job in that video showing why both QB and Oline needed to ...

The Vikings really like Rypien and teams tend to go all in on 2nd year QBs, signing backups who are less than 0 as a threat to the starter.

Re: Offseason Thread

Jones back on a 2 year deal worth 20 million, with 13 million guaranteed.

Insane money to spend on a RB who will be 31 by the end of the year, and just more evidence that Kwesi has no idea what he is doing. Due to his complete lack of foresight at RB, he had nothing at RB, and overpaid an aging one ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Unfortunately, even if we had wanted to trade for him, there was really nothing we could have used to make a trade that would have been better than a 4th, or not way too much to give up.

Sure there was.

Chicago gave up a 2026 fourth. We’ve got all our 2026 picks.

I didn’t even know the ...

Re: Offseason Thread

Freaking Bears just traded for Joe Thuney of the Chiefs. Gave up a 2026 4th-round pick.

This after KC franchise tagged Trey Smith.

Wish we’d get busy building our iOL.

Wow. He's on his final deal, wonder if they've already talked about an extension for him with Chicago. I'd part with a ...
