Broncos Post Game Thread

Post by Purplepain2018 »

I can't watch the game against the Broncos, but looking at the score right now it is Broncos 17 Vikings 0. All I can say what is going on? This type of game has become too common under Zimmer. If they lose this game, THEY SHOULD WIN, they are not going anywhere in the playoffs, if they even make the playoffs.

Denver moves the ball, mainly big play by Fant. FG

Minnesota gives it to CJ “2 carries all season” Ham. Punt.

Brandon Kelly drops a dime. A throw Rhodes can’t defend ever and one Cousins would never throw.

Cousins single read check downs to Cook who is clearly blanketed by Miller. Punt.

Courtland Sutton drops a dime. A throw Waynes can’t defend ever and one Cousins would never throw.

OL penalties as usual. Cousins fails to see Diggs open on an out route on 3rd and long. Punt.

Denver plays through the whistle, our defense doesn’t. Score.

On a clear defensive offsides, a clear free play, Cousins checks it down. Next play Reiff gets destroyed and Cousins fumbles.

More or less the 1st half.

Very good come back. This D though. I don't want to be negative but. I thought they might get 10.

They won which is a good thing. This isn't a champ D. They better work on some changes during the bye week or Wilson might set some records. But good win.

Great comeback by the Vikings! That could have been an ugly loss and instead, the Vikings showed the resilience to get the win. Kudos to everyone involved, especially Cousins, who was on fire in the second half.

The goal line stand at the end was huge.

I have to be realistic. The win is important but the game was a total dumpster fire. Even after coming back we allowed 2 4th and 5+. This defense has to take a long look in the mirror and asked what they have become.

Good: Record setting comeback. Getting some monkeys off our backs. Kirk should have some of less haters this week.
Bad: Allowing a young backup to dismantle us for all of the first half.
Ugly: Getting bullied in your own house. Team showed no heart in the first. Denver was more physical before and after the snap.

I wasn't able to watch the game. But what happened on the D side. Was there certain players that were getting picked on.

No pressure mainly. Dumb penalties. Giving up a lot of 3rd down conversions. The one dude who stood out and was getting curb stomped was rhodes

Meh, everything was going against us. Injuries, officiating, all in favor of the Broncos.

It was a very slow start and we came back and won it.

Cousins gets his first game winning drive as a viking, we won without Cook doing a ton against a good D.

Nice win.

Great comeback win. The game seemed to be all but over but then, thanks in large part to amazing play by their top tier quarterback, the Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings prove they can never be counted out until the final buzzer has sounded. :smilevike: :smilevike:

Blown out first half, teams are 0-99 when behind by 20 pats at halftime. Come back and win to go 8-3 at the bye. Lot of injuries and two weeks to worry about a huge game in Seattle. Just another week as a Vikings fan.

Anyone else think it's funny that when Brees, Rodgers, or Brady come back from 2+ scores no one argues that they should've played better in the first half? Seems like quite a few people are saying that about Kirk despite him completely carrying this team and defense in the second half (and that the problem in first half was clearly the gameplan, not Kirk).

Great game for Kirk and Diggs. Love that Irv got in the mix. Bisi continues to impress. Hopefully the defense gets their stuff together.
