I am surprised Mims fell out of the first round...I think Vikings are going to trade up to get the player they want in 2nd round, I do not think they want to wait until #58 to select a player

Obviously they’re swapping 1st, it’s still terrible value. SF is drafting 2nd to last... those are basically 5th and 6th round picks.
We basically lost 30 points on that trade, not good value.we should have been on the plus.
If we wake up tomorrow and Trent W is in purple for one of those 4ths, then it will be ++

We basically lost 35 points on that trade, not good value.we should have been on the plus.
Ya, I don't think it would have been better to take Gladney at 25 and forfeit a 4th and 5th round pick just because we might lose 30 'points' in draft capital. Pretty sure the 4th and 5th are better than 0.

I dig it. Or if we use that capital to trade up and draft Winfield early day 2.

Vikings drafted 2 needs and added 2 more picks. Looks like a successful first day to me.

However it seems to have worked out very well.
I don't really thing we got good value out of our first round picks.
Rick needs to have an excellent draft and I don't think it's a great start.

Given what was available and what went, what did we really lose? Wilson if anyone? We gained a 4th and 5th, I'd still make that trade any day

I don't think either will be spectacular, but both should help day 1, especially Jefferson. The key is what they hit on later. If they can get another starter or 2 and then reliable depth players, it will be a good draft.

How so? Jefferson would've been a top 12 pick if it wasnt for the big 3 in this class. Jefferson was projected to go in front of us and he didnt. Gladney was making his way up as well and we landed him at 31 plus got a 4th and 5th out of it.

I think they got as good of value as could be expected without more trading back.

Exactly. It was a great deal. We had our pick of the litter out of Fulton, Johnson and Gladney and could pick the best on the board. Plus gained a 4th and 5th. I make that trade any day of the week. I was on a zoom chat with a few buddies and kept telling them we should trade back given the corners on the board.

If someone said, the Vikings will get Justin Jefferson, Jeff Gladney, an extra 4th and an extra 5th, I am more than ecstatic with that

Who is left on the board that folks would like to see the Vikings scoop up tomorrow?

Jefferson was Daniel Jeremiah's 16th overall player in the draft. He also set the LSU school record for most receptions in a season. That is impressive
