Just to expand on my high thoughts the other night...here is why we go get him:

1) Rumors of teams interested in him/Jets willing to deal him (I know, doubtful it happens, but where this is smoke there is fire)
2) Cheap contract next 3 years (club option year 3)
3) Jefferson, Addison, Wilson, and Hockenson would be NICE for Sam and JJMac

I'd propose something like:
(picks could be this year or next)
*2nd, 4th: better picks if he reaches certain milestones
*2nd, 3rd, and 4th and David Quessenberry for Wilson and Morgan Moses
*I'd even trade Addison straight up for Wilson

A lot of different links...here is one:

I'm not sure the WR position is what ails the offense, and I really don't like the thought of a trade that makes the Vikings even more draft poor in 2025 than they already are.

I wouldn't do this either. I would think Allisons value right now is at an all time low. Why would a team take that on? I would prefer a RG that can play or a shut down young CB. Teams won't give up young shut down CB because they are too hard to find.

I don't think the nyj would move Wilson for Addison straight up. I know I wouldn't if in their shoes.

Definitely don't think we should be giving up what few draft assets we have for wr room.

The reason I brought this up is because players of Wilson's caliber/contract are very rarely available. I'm not just picking random players out of the sky or picking specific positions because they would fit our current roster better. Garret Wilson is REALLY good and REALLY cheap (at least contractually).

No one knows what is going on in NY for the Jets. Bad blood? Frustration? Desperation? Erin-itis? If I am the FO, I am at the very least kicking the tires. Does it suck giving up draft capital? It always does-but draft picks are never a sure thing. To get a young, proven All-Pro type WR, it might be worth it...especially when you want to surround your heavily invested rookie QB with as many weapons as possible.
