Minnesota Vikings second year receiver Jordan Addison was carted off the field after injuring his leg during a joint practice on Wednesday, according to Purple Insider’s Matthew Coller.

After Addison went down, he was helped up and began to hobble off the field with the help of multiple people, Coller reported. Shortly after, the cart came out to take Addison back to the locker room for further evaluation.

If there is one possible bright spot here it is that the Vikings appear to have some good depth at WR, so someone else who might not have gotten as much of a chance will get one.

It is also a chance to see if the offense experiences a dropoff without Addison on the field, because at some point it is likely he'll also miss time as punishment for his DUI. May as well find the answer to that question earlier rather than later.

He injured his ankle and should be ready for week 1.
