When does McCarthy start?

That's not reality. You're trying to grade McCarthy's worst drive against Darnold's one failed drive. JJ led 3 TD drives and Darnold failed to convert from first and goal. McCarthy had the far superior game.

It's like saying take away the 99 yard TD that player X scored and his game sucked, but you don't take that away and his game was good. Yes McCarthy got more opportunities than Darnold and Darnold may have done well in those extra opportunities. We will never know. We do know that McCarthy did well in his extra opportunities.
