Hurts might be a better runner than a thrower, but he's shown he can hit guys down field too. He ran for 90 and threw for about 250 vs. the Lions.

I am very interested to see how our D holds up against the Eagles without having home field advantage, as they did vs. the Pack.

I expect a high scoring game that will go down to the wire. 38-35, Eagles. Sorry boys, until we prove we can hang with playoff teams in primetime, I remain a little skeptical (however, I am optimistic overall for this season). This will be a very hostile environment. I'll be watching how Kirk responds carefully.
Interesting.

You should know that Cousins’ career record against the Eagles is excellent.

He’s 6-3, hitting on 67.1% of his passes for 306 yards per game at 8.1 YPA, with 21 TDs against 6 picks.

I honestly don’t think Cousins is the question. The Vikings’ defense is. Jalen Hurts has too many mechanical issues as a passer to beat the Vikings from the pocket. They have to contain him playing off script and scrambling. At the same time, the back end can’t let A.J. Brown go crazy. Contain Hurts, and I’m confident the offense will hold up its end. We have to remember … while we stymied the Packers, this is still much the same defensive personnel as last year. To me, the jury is still out on that side of the ball. We were really good defensively against the Packers, but that was at home. Do it on the road, and I think we can start dreaming a little.
Thing is the last two years we more or less didn't have Hunter and Vikings d without Hunter IMO isn't the Vikings D. Is Z for real. If so our defense is going to be strong. Hicks was an underrated signing. One of the best tacklers in the world.

7-21 loss vs Seahawks

2019
30-37 loss vs Seahawks
23-10 loss vs Packers

2020
19-13 Win Over Bears (Kirk Cousins first ever Monday Night win)

2021
17-9 Win over Bears

Kirk is 2-9 on Monday night in his career (worst percentage among active QBs, 2nd worst in NFL history).
Or a person can look at it this way …

Kirk is on a 2-game winning streak on Monday night.
I'm not looking at it either way, really. Just posting the stats.

The only Monday Night wins were against Da Bears so they don't count.

My prediction of a loss where Philly scores at least 38 is coming true. This D sucks.

We're using him too much, but we have the best punter in the world on our team.

Cook looking very inexplosive again and Kirk operating as a predictable 3 and out machine. Those are turnovers...gotta look for more than just the same old 5 year crossing route every time we get into 3rd down.

Kirk is in his prime tonight and the Defense is the worst I have seen from the Vikings since Frasier days

The game gave me flashbacks of the NFC Championship game, a terrible game all around

He will bounce back from this. He has to to continue win just enough games to make sure the Vikings are drafting around the middle of the 1st and unable to draft his replacement. :wallbang:

It is too bad about Cook, can not stay healthy and now washed up, Vikings should have traded him last year

At his contract I am not sure there was a market, even for a future 7th.

In himdsight they should have forced him to restructure or cut him, but trading was not really an option.

Bad coaching, bad QB play, bad drops, bad defense, bad all around. With the play calling tonight, I don’t care who was back at QB, nothing would’ve changed. It’s typical for the usual haters to center it around one player but in the end, not a single player on the field tonight played well. And the coaching and lack of adjustments was just as bad. On both sides of the ball.
