Just Joined and Depressed

Hi all. I just joined the board. A Vikings fan for a long time. I don't live in Minnesota currently, but I am a season ticket holder (10 rows from the field). I went to school in Minnesota and met my wife there, hence I got hooked on the Vikings. We moved away 15 years ago (job market). We fly in for 1 or 2 games a year. Sell or give away the rest of the tickets and watch at home on NFL Sunday Ticket. We love the awesome new stadium.
My thoughts on the Vikings from afar:
1. Great new practice facility. We visited last year and bought some stuff. The museum is not to be missed.
2. Not feeling good about team direction. I'm just not a Kirk Cousins guy. I was depressed when they extended his contract. Cousins is a nice guy, but isn't a championship QB. I'm sorry. He never will be. If the Vikes could tank the rest of the year and grab Trevor Lawrence, Justin Field, or even Trey Lance I'd be ecstactic. Like Matt Ryan and Matt Stafford, Cousins will put up stats every year but never win anything (Super Bowl). Some QBs are destined to not be winners. They tease you with occasional gorgeous passes and good games, but ultimately fall short. That's Cousins.
3. I'm thrilled for Teddy Bridgewater (I own his Vikings jersey). He's taking names down in Carolina, winning three straight without McCaffery! Teddy is showing everyone the Vikes gave up on him too soon. If Teddy stays healthy he's going places Cousins will never go. Love the way their new head coach is rebuilding that team.
4. Vikes defense doesn't seem to be the same as in the recent past. I was upset when they didn't draft Antoine Winfield's kid. Junior is tearing it up. Vikes could've had him. He's another Tyrann Mathieu.
5. I actually do hope Captin Kirk proves me wrong, but I don't think he will. It's "mental" with him. Despite Cousins, Go Vikes!
Cheers all!
