Pretty much any other team would probably move on from their current QB if they end up with the #1 pick though.
The Vikings have to hope the really bad teams play each other and give each other wins and then they have a shot. They could also hope that Miami or Cinci get that first pick and are willing to trade it away.

The bottom line is if this guy rates like a Luck did then they will ask for much more than 3 1st. Plus the 1st pick will need to be top 5. Imagine 3 NE 1st rounders. Beyond that if a team is picking number 1 they need a QB more than likely. Bottom line is this team doesn't even show up. Getting beat like a drum game 1 might have set this seasons tone. We look like the Lions. Basically a laughing stock. I don't see how they can turn it around. The cupboard is empty. Bare would be an upgrade. The stiff Elf gets hurt and the 2nd year guy has shown he shouldn't be on the field. Elf is a HOFer compared to him. This is looking like a Steckle deal.J. If we don't start playing better -- please, I beg you, somebody give me hope that we will -- then we won't have to trade up for Trevor Lawrence.
Elf and Samia's statlines were identical with 5 pressures and 1 sack given up each. Samia had the tougher match up with Buckner and was starting his first ever NFL game. That was a bad post on my part. As was pointed out it was the kids first start. Hopefully he'll develop and that will solve a problem for us. It looks like this season will be rebuild. Same with our two young CBs they are first year starters and our current DL provide zero help. That's mainly injury problems. The only positive is watching the young guys. Jefferson has shown a nice burst but he's a rookie and has a long way to go. I would like to see I Smith do something and play more. He's our future. Perhaps he will later on.J. No worries, man. With the way the Vikings are playing, I'm just trying to keep things light.
