This is nothing.

Joe Buck is a fine broadcaster, has an iconic voice, and owns the call for the Minneapolis Miracle that never fails to give chills.

He knows his audience, and in that Packer-Viking playoff game, his audience was no doubt a heavy Green Bay lean. It's not like the Vikings were down forty and he made that call. The Vikings dominated, and it indirectly generated a terrific soundbite from Moss, with "Straight cash, homie."

Not for nothin', his reflection on it fifteen years later makes total sense.

Frankly, his call on that moment makes that game all the more memorable and satisfactory. In a reverse circumstance, a game in the Metrodome, a Packer Blowout, and Favre had done it and Buck had called it the same, you'd be applauding him.

He couldn't have called it any better when Diggs scored.

I like Joe Buck now.

Buck's call on the Minneapolis Miracle was one of the great calls of all time in any sport. And for all his apparent loathing of all things Minnesota, Buck himself has said it's his favorite call he's ever made and considers himself privileged to have been there.

Contrast it with Paul Allen and Pete Bercich tripping all over each other on the same call, and Buck's professionalism, at least on that play, is apparent. PA and Pete absolutely butchered that call.

Six words. Diggs! Sideline! Touchdown! Vikings win it!

Classic.

It's funny how Joe Buck went from being hated for his dislike of Moss and love of Rodgers to his most famous call now being the Minneapolis Miracle.

I bet most fanbases would be surprised at the number of Vikings fans that dislike the guy. He's certainly improved from his monotone calls (ala David Tyree's catch) but there are others more deserving.

I don't know any fan bases at all that really care for Joe Buck.

He doesn't take himself as serious as he used to, but HOF is a bit much. It almost certainly has to do with his longevity. Its like Frank Gore, who probably gets in eventually...never the best at any one time, but did it do long, he racked up all-time stats. In Buck's case, he's just been around so long to have called a lot of big games, whether he was great at doing so or not.

Nope that was one of the most idiotic comments ever and he is now and has always been a horrible broadcaster.
