It’s a 4-year deal worth $12.25M, source said. So on new money average, it’s $3.3M per year.

Good, very good.

CJ Ham has consistently been the best rushing FB in the league since he became a Viking.

Love it.

Hammer is great in our system. Solid player ... excellent blocker and can make people miss when he catches it out of the backfield.

I don't hate the move, but not loving it like you all seem to. That's a lot of money for a fullback.

It is only 3.3 million per year!

Not just "A" fullback. Statistically the best rushing fullback for the last several years.

And he has proven to be a legitimate threat as a receiver when thrown to.

I've never noticed him being particularly good, but I will take your word for it. If he is well above the average Fullback then I'm OK with the contract. I actually wanted us to keep the rookie over him this last offseason.

To put it into perspective, Ham has a Yards Per Catch metric of 8.6 Yards, a Yards Per Rush Attempt metric of 1.8 (since we use him as a short yardage back), and a Yards per Touch metric of 6.8. He's been incredibly dependable in getting us first downs and hauling in catches.

\Very small sample size on those stats. I meant what I said though. I'm taking your word for him being quite good at what he does.
