Any recommendations for a podcast to listen to on the Vikes?

It's a video podcast, but I believe it's available on iTunes audio, as well. If you can watch it, I'd do that ... Andy Carlson does some really good film breakdown. And he's kind of funny in his own silly way.

The Norsecode Podcast isn't bad, either.

Arif Hasan is the cohost and he has a great understanding of analytics and statistics, and manages to deliver them in a very articulate way, if you're into that kind of thin (analytics, among other things, are very bullish on going for it on 4th downs, so it is always interesting to hear those breakdowns, thinking of the Washington game when I say this.)

The co-host, meh. Not nearly as funny as he thinks he is, and the questions that get submitted are almost like inside jokes or something, so that's a knock.

"Locked on Vikings" and "SkorNorth"

Luke Braun on locked on Vikings has a lot of good takes and is pretty knowledgeable. Alex Boone often comes onto SkorNorth who I think is hilarious. Those are easily my two favorites. I listen to them every morning on my way to work

I really like Arif when he talks about the Vikings, but I couldn't stand following him on twitter because he dabbles way too much into politics and social issues. That's fine if you want to hear about it, but when I want to read about the Vikings, I don't care to wade through all that stuff to get to it. Is his podcast mostly Vikings related?

I like some of the Skor North ones too. Mainly with Matthew Coller because I think he does a good job of bringing analytics and a pretty fair assessment of many of the players. When they have former players like Sage Rosenfels or Alex Boone it definitely adds great information and balance to Coller's analytics/statistics as it gives a player perspective and context to analytics which I think is important.

I actually really like Sage Rosenfels's analysis. I think he's pretty spot on and not biased in his takes. He also does a great job of breaking down different schemes and especially adds a lot from a quarterback's perspective. I also like it when Alex Boone talks "shop" about the offensive line. You can tell he really knows schemes well and I think has great insight into looking at the offensive line play, which always seems to be a very difficult piece to analyze because of not necessarily knowing assignments etc. I could do without his "blowhard Booneness" but that's more of a personal thing. But I didn't really like his personality when he was giving interviews in Minnesota when he was playing so there's that. On the other hand, it does make for good radio and pulling back the curtain on a player perspective when he doesn't pull punches.

I'd agree on the Andy Carlson one where he's pretty funny and engaging and pretty good on the analysis from a fan's perspective. Not as much Xs and Os as the former players, but definitely a good mix of informative and entertaining.

Almost exclusively. Like I said, whenever they get to the mailbag, there’s always questions submitted about their fantasy football league and stupid off-the-cuff stuff, but for a podcast that runs typically an hour, it is 90% Vikings football.

After the Washington game, a stat he really values is yards per route run, YPRR, and it was pretty fascinating to hear that Diggs up to that point was smoking the league, with like 3.25YPRR. He rightly pointed out it would not be sustainable, but for a little while there Diggs was on a stratospheric level.
