Just wanted to give a boost to my favorite number cruncher. Nate Silver over at the 538 website.
For those of you who don't know him he's a statistician who got famous from predicting political race numbers incredibly accurately. Before that he was a baseball numbers guys. The website covers a wide range of issues but they have a heavy sports section and routinely cover the NFL. They recently did a very indepth analysis of the deflategate numbers and then the percentages behind the last plays of the superbowl.
The nice part is, is that they don't really have any biases, they are just a bunch of MD PhD stats folk that love looking at the numbers behind things. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out.
