Innocent until proven guilty but there is really no reason for any of the parties to be lying about it. At best I am hoping for a one time incident and Adrian believes and does all the right things. Sadly more often than not, child abuse of any kind is a pattern.

Are you freaking kidding me? I get that everything these athletes do is always blown up through the media, but c'mon. I'm 20 and I've never been in any kind of trouble with law enforcement. Unbelievable AP!

It sounds like he was discipling his child the 'old fashioned way.' However, in this day in age, that constitutes child abuse. I am not defending Adrian, but he still innocent until other proven guilty.
Regardless, if this story is true and Peterson is charged, there really is a dark side to everyone Even those who seem that they are upstanding citizens.

Also, in the NFL you only get a significant punishment if there's a video apparently, so he should be all right.
