Time for me to have some crow......

Hello all.

I predicted my Rams would win 33-14. I was very very very wrong about your Vikings.

I actually thought the Rams D played adamantly, although still below expectations. We held Peterson down pretty well, but Patterson directly lead to 13 points from his 3 runs, and throw in the pick 6....I did not see that happening. It looks like my Rams have reverted to the Spagnuolo/Linehan days. This was the worst performance I've seen in a long time. Zimmer had that D ready to play, and while I woefully underestimated the Viking D, I shudder to think what Seattle and SF will do to us. I hope this was an aberration, I know my team is better than this.

And to add insult to injury, I benched Patterson in two fantasy leagues because I bought into the hype of the Rams D. Ugh.

Good luck this year, I'll be rooting for Patterson and Peterson for fantasy purposes!

Thanks for the nice post. Good luck to the Rams this year. I hope no more injuries, especially at QB.

I think Patterson and Peterson may be good picks for fantasy football.

I think we all enjoyed the spirited and informed back and forth leading up to the game. Thanks for that and for the class to come back and admit that you underestimated the Vikes. Zimmer is doing some really good things; we've had a chance to see it and sense it since he was hired, so it's not too big of a surprise that we expected more of the Vikings than you did.

Good luck.

Wow, I must eat a little crow myself, as I didn't think you would come back. Thanks for doing so, and feel free to come join any discussion throughout the season if you would like!

Good luck the rest of the season, hopefully both teams will stay healthy!

Today's result speaks to how important QB play and discipline is. Good QB's get the ball down the field and burn teams for blitzing and cheating DBs up. They force teams to defend the whole field. When an NFL-caliber defense doesn't have to do that, either because the QB doesn't have the arm strength, experience, or field vision to do it consistently, then it's going to be really hard to generate offense. Tack a ton of penalties on top of that already significant handicap, and honestly, the score should have been even worse.

See Ponder, Christian.

Hard to kick a proud fan when he's down.

The Rams' defensive line certainly showed up. Those guys are as advertised. Hope things go well for St. Louis the rest of the season.

Just beat Seattle twice.

Credit goes to our coaching, I had no idea Zimmer would have them this ready to play. It could be one of those early season flukes too, but I am thinking it is better coaching. The Rams defense is legit, but only so much a defense can do.
