Teams who have "face of the franchise" players

The Vikings are Adrian Peterson's team. The Packers are Aaron Rodgers' team. The Ravens were Ray Lewis' team.

What are some other teams that have face of the franchise players, and which player is it? Most of them are quarterbacks or running backs I think.

Peterson is just the biggest marquis name on the Vikings. It doesn't feel to me like it's "his" team at all. Team's are headed by quarterbacks and always will be. If the face isn't a QB, then the franchise doesn't have one.

Patriots - Brady
Steelers - Roethlesburger
Detroit - Johnson
Saints - Brees

Some teams it seems like the coach/owner is the face of the franchise:
Jets - Rex Ryan
Cowboys - Jerry Jones
49ers - Harbaugh

I'll add a few more:

Panthers: Newton
Seahawks: Wilson (though a case could be made for Lynch or Sherman)
Bengals: Green or Atkins
Texans: Watt
Cardinals: Fitzgerald
Cowboys: Romo or Bryant
Colts: Luck
Ravens: Flacco
Falcons: Ryan (case could be made for Julio)
Texans: Johnson

Or maybe Elway, if we're thinking outside the box as HornedMessiah suggested.

Yeah I was just thinking current players. Going back though: Bears/Payton or Butkus, Colts /Unitas or Manning, Vikings/Tarkenton, 49er's Montana, Cowboys/Staubach, Lions/Sanders, Packers/Favre, etc. etc.

Yeah, but Elway is still with the team, so it works. :-)

It is pretty unusual to have Peyton being the face of two franchises anyway

What about Ray Lewis and the Ravens, or Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks? MJD and the Jaguars? Or Fitz and the Cards?
