I just had to crack up on Manning's explanation of the Omaha call - in classic Manning humor -
"I know a lot of people ask what Omaha means," Manning continued, "and it's -- Omaha is a run play, but it could be a pass play or a play-action pass depending on a couple things: the wind, which way we're going, the quarter and the jerseys that we're wearing. So it varies, really, play to play, so, that's -- there's your answer to that one."

I saw the video clip of that answer on NFLN today. and had to laugh. Manning has a good sense of humor.

I read Manning will donate $500 per "Omaha!" uttered this weekend to his charity. Could get pricy. Though if he wanted to be a dick he could shout "Lincoln!" or something instead.

Eli Manning uses the Omaha shout too. Maybe it's like a "hi mom/dad" for the Mannings.
There was a ex-coach (forget which) on NFLN that tried to break down Manning's verbiage. On the play he yelled, "Omaha" and "Carolina." According to the coach, Omaha was the signal for snap on one, carolina was a pick play by the receivers because North Carolina runs a lot of pick and roll plays in basketball.

Yeah, I think I saw that too. Judging just by the frequency of the "Omaha" yell, it sure doesn't seem too terribly tricky whatever they're up to.

One thing I did notice in the game today was that the ball was always (at least that I noticed) snapped within a half second or so of him making that call. I thought then maybe Manning is setting up the Pats for an off-sides later if he delays the snap after an "Omaha".
