You must be listening to Rosen, I thought he said Edwards ha, I posted that in a diff thread, now imma look like a tool.

He appears to be round his staff out fast, like he knows exactly what he wants.

This strikes me as a hire that lets Zimmer keep a lot of control of the Defense. Which doesn't surprise me in the least.

As I said in another thread, Zimmer will probably call the shots on Defense. This hire is just to feel a vacant spot. But come one, this guy can't do no worse than Alan Williams.

What do you know about him? What if he turns out to be the next name in coaching! The Miami LBs might suck because they suck. And he will be running Zimmers system, I think Zimmer is a good judge who can run it. I will trust him on this one.

So basically, the Vikings will have a staff of former Dallas Cowboys coaches from the '90s. :)

He did some good work as the Redskins DC as well. The Dolphins just suck, not the coach.

An unknown, huh? Bleh. Okay, okay. A lesser-known guy.

I trust that Zimmer knows what he's doing, though. He's picking his guys quickly, so he must have had somewhat of a plan going into this. I think that's a good thing.

Were there any other considerations for DC? Any rumors even? ...it all went so quickly!

the best thing about this is he doesn't want to keep the inherited staff. So musgrave and williams is gone which is already a huge improvement

and hopefully the play cards will finally be bigger than those 3x5 index cards they use now.

Interesting hire. Coached Richard Seymour and Marcus Stroud in college. Coached LaVar Arrington to his most productive season and coached up the rest of the Washington unit that season. His stints as DC have not been stellar, but then it was for Washington and Buffalo. He also has plenty of experience running a 3-4, so there's that.
