Sounds like they should be going to prison as well.
Wilson found that Zygmunt Wilf, along with his brother, Mark, and their cousin, Leonard, committed fraud, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty and also violated the state’s civil racketeering statute, or RICO.

Civil case, not criminally investigated by FBI and IRS

I know it's a civil case. But the implications are clearly of criminal behavior when the ruling judge is tossing out terms like fraud and violation of racketeering statutes.

Then you have to wonder how bad they're going to get dinged and the affect it will have on their overall finances. Sounds like it's going to be in the tens of millions of dollars.

Discussing the Wilfs’ misdeeds, Wilson [the judge] said they failed to meet the “barest minimum” of their responsibilities as business partners.

“I do not believe I have seen one single financial statement that is true and accurate,” Wilson said, adding that annual statements were not given to Halpern and Reichmann after 1989.
Holy.

I'm not a legal expert, but given that it isn't murder my guess is the statute of limitations most likely applies.

Yes they do, just by the fact when you pigeonhole a whole group for whatever reason.

That's crazy. When NFL players get in trouble they get fired, fined, or suspended. But what about the NFL owners??? lol

Because it makes our owner look like more than the sleazy new york almost-mobster he apparently was.

Reusse said probably end up being about 80 million all said. And they'll make that much in the naming rights deal alone.

I really, really hope that this doesn't stir up a mess of trouble in Minnesota regarding the new stadium. It's not hard to imagine that some folks who were outspoken against public funding bringing this up and crying for some kind of investigation. It would probably amount to nothing and we won't get our stadium & team taken away, but they don't need the bad publicity. Thank Jeebus they already got the stadium deal done or the outcome might have been different...?

Time to cut these distractions. We're trying to win a Super Bowl here.

I'd say the majority of billionaires or close to, have done some shady business decisions. I'm glad the MN public didn't know about this before the stadium deal. not sure it would have mattered, but ya never know.
