While I agree that these moves are appearing to be intelligent ones at the present moment, it is still pretty early to arrive at the conclusions that Souhan does. The rookies we picked up in the first year haven't even played in a pre-season game yet, much less a game that counts. I also would not write off Percy Harvin just because of his current injury.

Please don't paste the entire article when making threads like this. Also, don't quote the entire post if someone does. It just takes up unneeded space.
With that said, I agree with TexasVike. Lets see them play before we annoint Spielman the next Pope.

Well said. It's too early to crow, just as as it was too early to be overly critical of the moves in the first place. Time will tell if Spielman made the right choices.

PurpleMustReign, sorry about that. I was debating that very thing before I posted.

I get what you're saying... I just don't post as much as you, so some of the finer details of message board etiquette are lost on me. Now that I think about it, I agree that quoting was totally unnecessary. I should have quoted the parts of Souhan's article that I took issue with. Next time.

There's actually another reason not to post entire articles, columns, etc. too, which is that the sources tend to frown upon unauthorized reproduction of their material in it's entirety. On the other hand, when a section of something is quoted and then linked back to the source, it helps generate traffic on the original site, which is beneficial.

Anyway, no harm done and this was an interesting column so thank you, yezzir for bringing it to our attention.
