Maybe he'll have his people making calls.
I thought the timing was unusual too but it makes me wonder if he's expecting to make a big announcement about a signing they have lined up as well as addressing the Harvin, Winfield and Simpson moves.

It is not logical to think a press conference scheduled right at the opening of free agency is odd? For that, I am going to use your favorite emotion icon.
