Most of it is about the draft, although there is some discussion of Frazier, Harvin, etc.:

Thanks for the link, Jim.

Sounds like Spielman is impressed with the depth at WR in the draft, which is a good sign. I noticed the first thing he mentioned was the athleticism and ability to stretch the field that some of the receivers have. Another good sign. Who knows? Maybe the Vikings will pick up a guy that gets deep and another big target to move the chains, or maybe a guy that can do both. It makes me eager for the draft to arrive.

Of course Troy Wiliamson was athletic, and could stretch the field. Unfortunately he couldn't catch the ball... :D

Troy Williams was fast, not athletic.

Joe Webb can jump.

For all we know, Demetrius Underwood may have been a great ballroom dancer.

Take the three of them, mix and mash 'em and throw away the parts you don't want. You'd be lucky to make a good arena league football player. Of course, the big difference between them is that Webb was a 6th rounder and didn't cost the Vikings much beyond some embarrassment during last year's playoffs.

Then perhaps the Vikings should draft a WR that is athletic, stretches the field, and can catch the ball. There are several of those guys in the upcoming draft.

There, problem solved.

Ingenious! You make it look so easy, Craig. :)

I personally think someone who can run a 40 in sub 4.40 is athletic, but I know what you're saying. They invested a 2nd round pick on an arguably athletic person, who could stretch the field, but couldn't catch. Hopefully they do better than that!

Exactly!

At least Joe Webb was a 6th round flyer pick. The other two were compeltely wastes of 1st round picks. I don't mind the Webb pick, you want them doing stuff like that at that stage of the draft. The other two... SIGH.
