Peterson is an All-Pro

The Associated Press announced the 2012 All-Pro team this morning and Adrian Peterson was a unanimous first team selection (and not just because his initials can stand for Associated Press or All Pro):

Richard Sherman is right. Pro Bowls get the attention, but making The Associated Press All-Pro Team means more. It's harder to accomplish because there are fewer spots, and you don't have any fan votes puffing up a player who was benched during the season. (Sorry, Jeff Saturday.)

When you look back at a season years from now, the All-Pro Team is the best way to see what players stood out. The 2012 All-Pros were announced Saturday morning, and here's my position-by-position breakdown...
Congrats to AD. Chad Greenway and Blair Walsh also made the team.

Congrats to Adrian Peterson, Chad Greenway, and Blair Walsh! Great stuff!

But really there should be no competition or another name mentioned when it comes to Adrian Peterson being the All-Pro selection at RB. AD owns that position.

Congrats to those players and it should be noted that not since Scott Studwell has a Viking LB made it to back to back Pro Bowls, way to go Greenway
I think that Sully got screwed out of the Pro Bowl and this will be the first and last time that Kalil won't make the selection.

Jerome Felton made the 2nd team. Came in behind Vonte Leach, and I Can't argue with Leach being on the 1st team.

Did you see the total votes for Kicker? Blair Walsh was almost unanimous (sp?). That's awesome!

Somehow I missed that Felton made it but congratulations to him. He deserves it.

That's way cool. Walsh deserves it.

The Blair Walsh Project is scary for opposing special teams. :D

Chad Greenway lucked out (along with Brooks, Mathews and Ware) from an almost unanimous vote for the other two starters. Von Miller and Aldon Smith were voted in, then there was everyone else. Jared Allen and Phil Loadholt and at least a dozen other players received two or more votes without making even the second team.

Outside Linebackers:
Von Miller, Denver, 48
Aldon Smith, San Francisco, 47
Chad Greenway, Minnesota, 2
Ahmad Brooks, San Francisco, 1
Clay Matthews, Green Bay, 1
DeMarcus Ware, Dallas, 1

Why would you say that? They're all great players. Greenway just lucked out in the voting.

Oh I get it, all about luck. I would take Matthews over all of them so that voting means little to me. I do know that Greenway is a fine linebacker and I am very glad that he is a Viking.
Pro bowl voting. :wallbang: Let's see Jeff Saturday beat out Sully and he got benched

You're confusing the Pro Bowl team with the Associated Press All-Pro team.

You are correct about that. My statement should have been more specific. Bottum line is that this voting seems suspect at best.
