On this thread, you can make bold predictions on anything Vikings. This is a timeless thread, so you don't have to make predictions for just this year.

The Vikings will win a Super Bowl before I'm dead. I won't be holding my breath, mind you, but if I live into my 90s, the odds get better for them.

This is an indirect prediction on the Vikings by mentioning other teams. Before the playoffs start, I'll predict a Super Bowl match between Seattle and Denver, based on nothing but as good a guess as the next cat. Good luck Minnesota, I'm pullin' for 'ya! Wahi'

In my experience, any prediction concerning the Vikings is a bold prediction. They have made an art of confounding expectations.

As the biggest Ponder supporter on this board and after all of the negative posts (many well deserved) I will predict that Ponder will be playing at a Pro Bowl level next rear.

Jarius Wright will become a multi-year Pro-Bowler.

I LOVE this little guy, and he's looking like a GREAT draft pick. I shudder to think how good he can be once we get more consistent quarterback play.

Percy Harvin will get an extension and traded for picks before the draft! I hope i'm wrong.

This is pure speculation. With all the negatives news(Percy heated discussions with Frazier),i'm starting to believe Percy thinks he's bigger than the team.Percy was sent home weeks ago,and i think the vikings are planning to get rid of him.Last Sunday, every injured packer (Cobb,Woodson) was on the sideline cheering for their teammates.I could be wrong, but it's weird not seeing Percy on the sideline..

That's my bold prediction!

There's a difference: those guys aren't on injured reserve. It's not uncommon for IR guys to be rehabbing elsewhere when they're no longer technically on the 53. But I'll grant you I'd feel a bit better seeing Harvin on the sidelines.

You might be right dead_poet.An example would be the year Wes welker injured his knee.He was in the owner press box watching the games,so he was present at patriots games.Like you said,it would be nice to see vikings 2nd best player around the team but i don't even think Harvin is in Minnesota.

Let's think about this a little. The last time a Viking "Super Star" was injured and rehabbing somewhere else and was ordered by the owner to go to games to watch (which was a total of one game at Detroit) was Daunte Cullpepper. Hmmm..... add in the fact that Wright is getting very involved at this point Hmmm....

You might think about this....DC had a different injury (blown out knee), different coach, different owner, different GM. I do not see the similarity other than he is recovering at a different place.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing.

^^which makes me feel better predicting: Ponder will break out this playoffs and the Vikes will make a run to the NFC Championship game. I really want to go out on a limb and predict a Vikes/Pats SB but I just can't do it.

Bold prediction: we win the SB within the next few years.

The Harvin thing is a total dice roll at this point. I hope he comes back because I love watching him, but the adage of "where there is smoke, there is fire" is ever present on this mess...

My bold prediction: AP breaks Dickerson's record in the next 3 seasons. Maybe even next season.
