Just heard "If I Fall from Grace With God" used to sell Subarus.
I don't know whether to be happy to hear them or sad they sold out.

The sad thing is, they may not control their catalog, so they may not even be getting a benefit

That's true.
Two of my favorite musical idols, Neil Young and Frank Zappa, never have had their music used commercially. Gotta respect that kind of artistic and copyright control.
