Pheasant Hunting

Hey, anyone live in Mn or SD heading out after some pheasants this weekend? One of the few things I will miss a Vikings game for. Heading down to Montivideo MN this weekend, SD in a couple, cant wait. Have a new Pup, French Brittany Spaniel!

I'm not, but I'll wish you good luck! I will be headed out grouse hunting though.

Where do you grouse hunt? Good grouse numbers this year up north here!

Mostly north of Brainerd. Although I go Northwest of Brainerd too.

LOL, thats not north tho. Not even mid state, we live up NORTH..........

I agree with you. I silently laugh when people say that they are going "Up north for the weekend" when they are just coming to the Brainerd Lakes area. It's pretty close to central MN though IMHO. You just get so used to people calling it up north

So, how did the pheasant hunting go?
Grouse hunting was pretty poor, went out Sunday afternoon, and didn't kick up a single bird. I guess I'll have to go north

Actually had to stay back, son was injured in his football game on Friday, but we grouse hunted up here, did pretty well. 16 sat afternoon and sunday and sunday morning. Had to walk a bit, but it was fun. Heading out pheasant hunting on Wed night, heading to southern MN, hope there isnt 50 million people cuz of MEA, but Im sure therer will be.
