I am trying to buy a battery for my 06 Hyundai Elantra. NO ONE stocks them. I wanted to avoid going to the dealer and paying billions of dollars for one. Does anyone know why they aren't stocked, or why they are so hard to find?

I don't know much about Hyndai's but I seriously doubt they use some sort of special battery. Did you try Sears?

I tried WalMart and NAPA. NAPA had one in a different location, but it was a ways away. WalMart needed to order special. I didn't try Sears. If nothing else, I'll get the one at NAPA. Or maybe Fleet Farm...

So what dows that mean? Remember, I have trouble finding the steering wheel if it isn't labeled...

Don't know if you guys get the same ones, but their radio commercials are super annoying.
O-O-O-O'Reilly's
grr
that said, I go there anyway, because they always have what I need.

The nearest to me is 35 miles, but I have a great AutoParts store 12 miles away, Their warehouse is just across the street, so everything is almost always available. Not always the cheapest, but easiest to get odd parts quickly.
