Just to note:

I was able to google data back to the 2000 season. Though I know the game is older than that, I think it was run on a list prior to 2000 when it started being run on the newsgroup.

The Pick 4 was started by John, myself, and a couple other guys on the GEnie service back in 1994 or 1995. As I recall, we decided to go with a Pick 4 because it was easier to track than a whole schedule of games.

John and I switched over to the internet newsgroup for a few years starting in 1997 or so, but I do not recall if or how the Pick 4 was done there.
