I'll bet you dollars to donuts that it's another Heath Ledger/Anna Nichole Smith type deal.

I know. Wow. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson in less than 36 hours. Is there something in the air out there?

Holy Cow!!! That is a scary 36 hour period!
Good luck to his family and friends, as well as Fawcett's and McMahon's...

This #### is not "the king of pop".
What the hell has he done in the last, oh, FOREVER?!?!?
All he is now is a punchline for play-on-words pedophile jokes.
What did the woman say to Michael Jackson at the beach?
"Excuse me sir, you're in my sun/son."
DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE!?!?!?!?!?

I feel sorry for his family and people that cared about him though.
I can't feel sorry for people that hurt kids however.

So them Elvis isn't the King of Rock because he hasn't done anything in "forever" either I guess.

Quite a shame. I was growing up right in his "prime" or just a bit after it. I still remember being little and watching his specials with my parents (Black or White and whatever one where he turned into a panther). Amazing special effects for the time and always entertaining. Then the spiral into Crazy Town happened. I still enjoyed watching him perform, on the rare occasions he made a guest appearance. I kept hoping he'd snap out of it and return to what made him such a superstar. But, alas, his face and mind were long gone. What a slow decline/fall from grace for one of the world's once most talented, celebrated and recognizable figures.

I'm just a year or so older than Michael. I, literally, grew up with the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson. I loved their music and still listen to it on occasion.
I remember, back in the day, the teen magazines tried to invent a "feud" between Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond, the top two teen idols of the time. Of course, there wasn't one, but it sold magazines. The feud was put to rest when the two of them appeared on some awards show together.

Michael Jackson touched me in a very special place when I was young.

M.J. was never my thing. I missed out on his heyday(The dirty rotten leftist interconnected Gen Y-er that I am).
The only memories I have of Michael Jackson are as a wacked out public service announcement on the dangers of religious fundamentalism/abusive parents, plastic surgery, and kiddie diddlin'.
Joe Jackson, Reggie Jackson, and this dickcheese? He totally sullied that last name. I mean, come on.

We get the point, you didn't like him but the guy just died and was an important and influential entertainment personality, give it a rest and show a little respect.

Okay, he is dead, maybe I shouldn't be so harsh on him.
Farrah Fawcett wasn't even the hottest Angel!
Oh, there I go, hating again.

I certainly wasnt/am not a Jackson fan. But I dont hate him either, and its hard to deny he was very talented, influencial, and important to his industry. He is always mentioned and compared to Elvis and the Beatles. Of the 3, Elvis, Jackson, and the Beatles, IMO Jackson was the most entertaining to me. He wouldnt make my top 50 entertainers, but Elvis and the Beatles wouldnt crack my top 100, must be too young or just have bad taste maybe.
But as far as those ripping on him, pretty lame IMO.
