I am for it, since it wasn't long ago that he was really good (actually it was last season). His price is steep, but he may be worth it. I know in the past we have signed the really old players who hadn't been good for years, at least Crede has a very recent history of being good.

What do you guys think?

I think the twins are one good third baseman from being exceptional. Imo crede is that guy. Total yes from me.

yeah they already signed him. i think it may give them a pretty good chance at going far this year now that they will have liriano healthy the whole year along with span and crede. Anyone know what transactions the white sox have made this offseason. if not many we may have a shot a beating them out for the central title.

Good. It isn't a terribly large amount of money, unless he has a great year, in which case I'm all for paying him the $$ he wants. And if it doesn't work out, well, they are only paying him 2.5 mil.

Good signing by the Twins. I would like to see them get Juan Cruz too, but don't know if that will happen.

that amount could go up slighly because his contract was loaded with incentives but if he doesn't reach those it is just 2.5 million.

It would only be a good thing for the Twins if he did meet his incentives. This year is starting to look even more promising.

Yep! If he turns out to be good and healthy, he could easily be a short to mid term solution to 3rd base. I wish they would put Harrie at SS instead of Punto, but Gardy's infatuation with him won't allow that.

Short is right. If he does well, he'll bolt, someone will pay him. At least we signed him...kinda seems odd no other team would offer him more though, at this point. Is he really in that bad of shape? We'll see, definitely an upgrade over what we would have had!
