I'd like to know how they can prove it's "marijuana pipe" from a picture.

At any rate that is no worse to me than if he had a beer in his hand ... but the law is the law and it's pretty stupid to let someone take a picture of you breaking it.

Mike Wilbon put it pretty well in the Washington Post this morning (Link). Smoking pot for a 23 year old isn't a big deal. Smoking pot, in public, when you're a 23 year old who has been capitalizing on a squeaky clean public image to the tune of $100M in endorsements and you got hit for a DUI a couple years ago is a big deal. If you're that guy and you want to get high, do it in your own house.

Yeah ... but I didn't know he'd made a living off of a "Squeeky clean" image ... I thought it was because of all of his medals. Though to be honest, I don't watch much TV these days so I don't know.

The bottom line for me is; if he was drinking this wouldn't be an issue. Not because drinking is better for you and less harmful ... but because of laws. It's illogical.

He's dumb for risking his livelihood for a buzz ... no question ... the fact that it's a risk is my beef.

good for him he has worked hard all his life to win medals
and compete. Let him enjoy himelf if you ask me and let the first person
who has never made a mistake critize him.
