With the firecracker season approaching, does anyone have any favorite kinds, things to do, or any good stories with fireworks? I've got a few.


Me, my bro, and a couple buddies were up on my deck, second story up in the back of my house drinking Coronas and kicking back. Anyways, one of our buddies brought over a HUGE box of top knotch, highly dangerous fireworks to play around with and set off. Anyways, all was going well until we tore the stick part of a bottle rocket off of the rocket. He lit it off holding it in his hand and timed the fuse to throw it before it took off. So when he threw it, it took ignited and took off but did a complete loop and landed straight in the huge box of explosive fireworks. Next thing was a blur but crap started exploding and firing everywhere.

My brother was next to the door so he made it inside. One was close to the stairs so he ran down them. But me and my other two friends had to high tail it to the opposite side and jump the balcony into some bushes. Crazzzzzzzzzzzzy, very very lucky our deck didn't catch fire.

we used to have wars at night and use grand bloom
flowers as grenades. One of our friends was named Kevin
and extremly skinny. Well he liked to hide under cars
because he could get under them easily. Well his parents
had on of those old huge station wagon. The tires were going
flat on the station wagon. Anyways he got stuck on the Oil
pan and his brother "Shawn"decieded to help him out by motivating
him. Shawn threw a ground bloom flower under there and you
should have heard the screaming. Kevin was okay but was pretty
ticked off at Shawn for a while.

When i was 16, my friend and I thought it would be fun to pour gasoline over a tennis ball and then hit the ball with a golf club to see what it looked like to see a real fireball... well... we poured the gasoline onto the ball and then we were about to light it and my friend said, "OH! Wait!! We should move the ball away from the puddle of gas!" So he moved it and THEN hit the ball, but he only moved it a couple feet, and the puddle of gas started on fire right in the middle of the street! My friend ran after the ball, which of course was still very much in flames, and he put that out. Then a car started coming, and I panicked and ran into the garage while the street was still on fire. So my friend had to put the fire out on his own while a couple cars drove by.. Thankfully they didn't call the police!!

I've had my share of wars too with bottle rockets and roman candles.

One time however, we smuggled some huge mortars into the area and were having fun with them until one of them tipped over after we lit it. One of the fireballs shot right at me and as I fell backward, it went up into my shorts and burnt the inside of my leg. Took a good chunk of skin clear off. Forever scarred.

We also had a share of fun filming "firecracker pants". My buddy was crazy enough to light two of those black cat packages off and stick them down his pants and run around. Insane!
