Raising my kids the best I can! and being married
for almost 15 years

I could probably come up with a lot of things. Looking around at the people I work with and went to school with, I'd say the fact that I'm approaching 56 years of age this year and I'm not on any kind of medication and in pretty good health is something I'm fairly proud of.

im proud of myself. Because i actually decided to start high school off right. (I was a slacker in Middle School and didnt care about school or grades. Only girls ) But now this last semester i made the B honerol (sp? still cant spell lol) But and now this semester im doing even better (A- A B+ B B- B- C+)

So yea im prouD!

You should be proud. That's a great attitude and I'm glad you're getting good grades. However, don't lose interest in those girls.

My boys (Monte and Caesar, two Shelties), my job, and my stunning good looks. Ok, so the good looks thing is a stretch... I'm not to proud of that...

I have much to be thankful for

• years of marriage
• children
• roof over my head
• college degrees
• stable employment

But the question is what am most I proud of?

(Trying to explain myself, but not be in your face)

My conclusion is that pride generally does not lead to good things.

My understanding is that pride is not something of lasting value. It cannot follow me beyond the grave.

If anything, I'm proud of 'what makes me tick' (so to speak). It has not disapointed me in life and I pray it will not disappoint me after I die. We'll see. If I have anything to be proud of, it is in the 'good news' that has deeply touched my life.

Knowing the difference between your, you're, and yore.

Actually ... my kids are number one, but much of that is really not my doing. Really, kids have to be left out or it will be number one for almost all of us - except the parents with kids in prison for murder or dealing meth.

I'm proud of my family of course, but I purchased my first Les Paul last summer. Very cool. I got a night job and payed it off in a couple of months.

Without putting in family and friends, if we're talking just personal goals, etc.

I'd have to say recently buying my first house is what I'm most proud of. Of a family of 5 children (some 12 or more years older than me) I'm the first to own his own house. Not even my parents own a house yet.

A cool job as a tv photographer.
oh right, got fired 5 years ago.

a wonderful girlfriend.
oh right, caught her making out with on of my best buddies at my party, in my house, on my couch. (dont talk to either anymore)

tons of opportunities for career advancement
Oh crap, had to move away from the cities because I couldn't seem to find positive cash that was more then the negative cash, and now I have a crappy job that I can barely tolerate.



What am I thankful for?

The thing I'm most proud of in my life?

Dadgommit! Why can't I let go of my youth?

It would have to be that I was part of a team of misfits. Undersized, lackadaisical, not very talented per se, yet back in those days, in those times, what little I realized about the good in life, I learned a valuable and life lasting lesson! Team work can overcome all odds!

Without getting into minute detail, being apart of my HS Football team in Holland that saw us whip the snot out of every team we faced in a two year period. Most of those teams were bigger, better, faster, classier, and favored to walk all over us! But we didn't accept that! We somehow had it ingrained in us that as long as we worked together, our goals were within reach and we could overcome any obstacle, any misfortune, any disaster!!! And we did and to this day those simple lessons I learned on the HS gridiron have been a huge part of my life, my growing up, my accomplishments, and my dreams!

I am most proud of that time and those moments from my life, but I am forever grateful that I was able to transfer that pride into making the choices in life that define who and what I am today!
