Unfortunately, the only WCHA representative (North Dakota) was beaten 6-1.

So, it's Boston College against Notre Dame (who beat Michigan 5-4 in OT) for the National Championship.

Wow, Notre Dame is on a ROLL. That would be quite an accomplishment if they win the whole thing.

It would be kinda weird. I mean, who thinks of Notre Dame when they think of hockey?

If I recall correctly, the Irish were a decent hockey school a while back (long while for many here). I knew kids who got a partial ride there for hockey from my class... 37 years ago. :)

Tough game to watch for the Sioux faithful. It was 5-zip early in the 2nd period.

Not surprised that BC won it. They had a really good team with an unbelievable amount of speed. That's one thing about the college game and that is that speed really kills given the way the rules are setup and the fact that a lot of programs have the Olympic-sized ice sheets. BC had a little dude that was only 5'5" but his speed was phenomenal. Can't remember his name but he was by far and away the best offensive player in the tournament.
