Mike, I think you should get one and then we can follow each other up.

I could go for that. Don't think it would make the trip during some of those snow storms though.

600 plus horse power is crazy...
They didn't even give a hint on top speed or 0-100
or anything like that.
My friends Dad had a 911 turbo. I drove at around 120
and it was smooth as butter at that speed. I am guessing
that car would be smooth at 140 if it was geared right.

Who needs a functioning body when you have one of those?

I've always loved the look of the Corvette. But it would seem a shame to drive that car in any state with a speed limit.

This summer I was driving on I-94 where the Speed Limit is 70, and this guy was driving a brand new Mustang GT 55 mph in the center lane. It was so hard not to beat him senseless. Why would you buy a fast car like that and then voluntarily go that slow on a freeway???

to piss off other drivers or to draw attention to yourself

It must be the atention thing. As is a bright yellow Mustang GT doesn't draw attention enough.

I read on another website top speed in excess of 200mph. A normal new vette will do 186, so with 200 extra hp, I wouldn't say that's far off. And this new one will probably be smooth to 180+. The ride select system on these cars, along with downforce from high speed, will make it smooth. Sweet car.

I can't even imagine that speed to be honest
at a hundred plus as far out as you can see you are
in a blink of eye basically. 200 forget it you wouldn't even be
able to see something until its too late.
I had on old couple that I did work for in my early 20's
try and give me a late 60's Jag XKE. I believe it was
a 12 and have no idea of horse power. It needed a lot of work
but I couldn't accept that from them. I know one their kids
would want it.

Yeah, taking an XKE off someones hands could cause bad feelings in the family. I think that is still one of the most desirable cars in the world. Beautiful cars, but I would think that fixing one up could cost a fortune.
