For those of you Illinois Vikings fans (Geoff?, Moth?), anyone familiar with what SIU is? Springfield Illinois University? We get a lot of patients we send to "SIU" doctors from Memorial Medical Center from but I never know what it formally stands for and we like to type things out. We get such little training before we get an acct. and nobody knows the answers to any of our questions.

Southern Illinois University. The undergrad campus is in Carbondale, IL, but the medical school is in Springfield.

Carbondale is also the Illinois headquarters for NORML, if that helps anything.
