The D is bad. So is the offense. If the O could sustain drives it would cut the D's time on the field. By the 3rd quarter they were just dead tired. Not to let them off the hook, because they are not good. But we only 17 points against GB before garbage time, and that isn't near enough. So I will say what I will about Ponder. He is a third rate QB at best. He is awful. He is Ponder, same as he ever was. So this loss is NOT "on the D". Its on both sides, and Ponder was no better than the D.

Let's not give Ponder too much credit for 31 points, 14 of those were garbage time and 7 were Patterson.

This is the worst Viking team I have ever seen. Ever. If they go 3-13 this season, it will be a miracle.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." ‪#‎SKOL2018

Just Me wrote: I agree that defense is the biggest problem but let's put the offense in context:

1) The offense scored 25 points (ST got 1 TD)
2) The Majority was in 'garbage time' after there was no chance for the Vikings to catch up.
And lets put the defense in context:

GB Drive 1: 14 plays, couple 3rd down conversions, TD
GB Drive 2: 17 plays, couple 3rd down conversions, FG
GB Drive 3: 3 plays, TD

Gb scored on every one of their drives except their final one.

Don't pull the "Defense is tired" crap when the defense is giving up downs and points from drive 1.

it's going to take time to call this the worst time i've ever seen. started watching in '93. 2011 was pretty bad, although most of the games were somewhat close. so was 2010. it's probably between 2001 and 2011, for me anyway.

If Fraizer has proved one thing, its that he is stubborn. It doesn't matter that Cassel r Josh give us a better chance to win, his QB is Ponder and that's all there is to it.

Nah, has nothong to do with Ponder. He didn't pull Freeman either when it was painfully obvious to everyone that he should. He does not make the "tough" decisions.

Which part of my underlined (and bolded) text did you miss? And for the record, I never said that the "defense is tired." If they are tired it's because they give up extended drives every time they are on the field. So again (for the visually impaired, apparently) I agree that defense is the biggest problem

Do you think all the three and outs by the offense helped or hurt the already terrible defense?
The defense is tired crap wasn't directed towards you (sorry) it was to someone else in this thread I was too lazy to quote. ANyway I served to quash any of your feelings the offense was a bigger problem

Coming off of this "embarrassing" loss as Jared Allen himself is putting it, I can understand what everyone on the boards has been talking about up to this game. (I'm a new fan). It's a drug it seems. This team rips your heart out, but you're sticking in to see what it will feel like when you win that Super Bowl.

I don't think that will be soon, but I can see how good it can feel even to have a respectable year. I want that.

Is this a bad time to walk in to a sporting goods store to buy my first Vikes jersey?

haha, this might sound like it's out of left field but I'm loving how the Vikes are sucking you in and you can't even help it! I'm thinking about a Patterson jersey myself, he should be with the team after the blow up this off season!
