But the LOB got them there. Since no LOB no Super Bowl with Wilson. Why is that? If our team played D like the LOB we would have beat the Pack easily last week. We would have a chance at the Super Bowl with the LOB defense even with loser Cousins. Basically what your saying is Cousins is calling the plays. I doubt that's true. If it is he shouldn't be after what he did last week. He was looking for the TD pass instead of the win. That's not good IMO.

I’m not sure why you’re bringing up the LOB when I clearly said Seattle’s offense last year. I don’t really understand the “Cousins is calling the plays” comment either. All I’m saying is the offensive philosophy is entirely different this year and Kirk has guys around him where he doesn’t have to force throws like the interception against GB.

The comparison to Wilson is simply both teams are going to pound the football and neither will likely have a good outcome throwing 50 times a game. Wilson is clearly the better QB but there’s still a lot of similarities scheme wise in terms of what they want to do and what they need their QB to do to be successful.

that Kirk is not calling the plays. He might audible occasionally but he does not call the plays!

I'm not sure what this means. Some bum I've never heard of from Jacksonville is considered better than Rodgers. Basically by these rankings Rodgers needs to be replaced. You that makes sense. If I was picking players for a new team my QB would be Rodgers. Dak Prescott is rated high. How many Super Bowls has he won? He's ahead of Rodgers also.

PFF rankings after 3 weeks...surprised how they have some of the QB's ranked. Be interesting to see how they are ranked mid season.

PFF rankings after 3 weeks...surprised how they have some of the QB's ranked. Be interesting to see how they are ranked mid season.

Yea, this is just how they have played through 3 games, and draft status, prior success, supporting cast and game situation are not taken into account.

Things will even out with a larger sample size.

Today was a classic cousins’ game. Terrible all game then makes a few plays in garbage time to make his stat line look decent.

At least he didn’t throw a pick today which really surprised me

Total domination in the trenches by the Bears today.

Vikes really look like a 7-9 or 8-8 team this year

I hate message boards after losses, but this time, while the game is still fresh in people's minds, is the best of that week, at least since the Cousins era began. All the Cousins apologists go into hiding and think of anyone but Kirk Cousins who they can blame for the loss. They make their list, check it twice, and then when what actually happened in the game starts to fade from people's minds, they strike.

I will save them some time Yes the oline sucked. Most Olines do suck against the Bears. Yes the defense gave up a couple of long drives, but they did hold the Bears to 13 points with 3 coming on a drive where the Bears lost 5 yards.

The Vikings were never going to put up 30 on the Bears, they are too good. Cousins was never going to throw for 400 yards, and no, Rodgers wasn't going to either in that game if we had him.

A good QB could have done something to make that game competitive though.

Cousins did have a couple of good plays, the 4th and 3 throw to Diggs was awesome, I will give him that.

Everything else was just plain bad.

I'm not hiding. We were beat easily. It's hard to find any positives. Certainly Cousins could have played much better and he fumbled twice. Mack who is a tremendous player forced Cousins to fumble. Bad play by Cousins Our D gave up a few long drives. We faced a backup QB and I was hoping they would shut him down. Didn't happen. I didn't think our OL played well enough. I actually thought the DL put some pressure on. Were 0-2 in the division but both of them were on the road so maybe it will even out in the end against these two. We really had a hard time getting our offense in gear. The QB gets the blame for that. Our D only gave up 16 which is a good game. Cook didn't do much either. I don't know what caused that. Could have been a number of things. I'm no expert so I have no idea. Our punter had a good game.

I dont know if I said this before, but I have to say...nothing gets on my nerves more, than when Kirk makes an inexcusable play and then when the feed gets back from a commercial break, his face is buried in the tablet. The Microsoft Surface isn't going to give you an instinctual pocket presence, dude! #### play football.

Cousins will never win a big game when needed.He is not a QB that a team could count on to win it in the 4th quarter as he is just not very good.Today was not totally his fault as i thought the play calling was terrible.Why when they could not run inside did they not pitch it out to Cook on the outside and at least give him some space to make a play?
Bad penalties at bad times also cost them. Defense was good against the run but pass coverage was not there.What has happened the our cb's as they can't cover anyone lately.Starting to get tired of the coach.Maybe his time is over in Mini.

I made a post in the "Keenum" thread that just as easily could have been posted here or today's post game thread. In a nutshell.....Cousins is afraid of failure. WInners can NEVER be afraid of failure. They can't be afraid to throw an interception, even if they've already thrown three of them. It doesn't matter What matters is the WIN and doing everything in your power to get there. When it's 3rd and forever at the end of the half....throw the ball downfield. What's the worst that going to happen? An interception? What's the best that can happen? A pass interference call or a catch. Suddenly you're in FG range or in range at another shot at the end zone. But no...in typical fashion the ball is dumped off to a back for a few meaningless yards. You gotta take calculated risks at the right time in order to win some games.

Bottom line is, the offensive line is still a serious concern, especially when it comes to pass blocking. I told you that before this game.

Brian O’Neill needs to be this teams right tackle. I said it last year too. Reiffs feet and athleticism just aren’t there to stay with these speedy pass rushers. O’Neill’s are. Elfleins overall skill set is a concern which I don’t get because he was solid his rookie year. Bradbury’s pass blocking concerns me. Dozier is dozier but I think O’Neill is far and away our best lineman and Kline seems solid for the most part even tho he’s missed some time.

We need a new LT. Or a new RT and move O’Neill to left. Obviously I’ll give Bradbury time but still concerned. Hopefully Kline can get healthy and show he can continue decent play. Elflein might have to go after this year.

People can say “defense only gave up 16” and think it was an ok game all they want. That was the worst defensive outing of the year IMO. We had TWO possessions the entire first half. A backup QB was hardly ever blitzed or put on his back. And the bears OL isn’t that great and was banged up.

If I see one more DB 8 yards off on a 3rd and 3 a remote might go through my TV. I get sick of Zim saying he has confidence in his front 4 getting to the QB. He relies on it wayyy too much. On the rare occasions we sent a blitz or an extra rusher and Daniels he folded. But that was maybe twice. In a situation like we were in with Trubisky going down, how do you not send the wolves at a backup QB??? Like what are you worried about?? Him beating you over the top? We blitzed Matt Ryan and he has one of the better trios at WR and a way better arm. It’s like Zim played scared or sat guys back hoping for a pick.

No less, I can’t tell you how many times I saw us go press coverage on 1st and 10 but we’re a mile off on 3rd and 3?? Like it doesn’t even make any sense to me. All Daniels had to do was continue to check down, chip away and run the clock out. Fuc#ing get into press coverage on 3rd and 3 and send an extra rusher or two. The guy is gonna crap his pants. But we played that conservative defense that we see a few games a year from Zim. I will never understand what he pulled today.

I love Zim but he crapped the bed hard today. And no less we shoot ourselves in the foot by getting a penalty on that forced fumble. Something that early is a game changer. Instead, they go down and go up 7-0. Where it could’ve initially been 3-0 or 7-0 Vikings from the start. And getting the ball at half. Daniels could sit back and relax today because he was never in the hole. It reminded me of last years saints game. We’re going on before half and could have went up 17-13 AND getting the ball at half but thielen fumbles and we end up going into half down 20-10. Went from being possibly up 4 to down 10.

That’s a terrible offense to begin with let alone having a backup go in there. We could have shut this team out or given up under 10 if Zim would have some balls.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse/frustrating defensive performance than that in a long time. Sometimes things don’t go out way (rams last year, eagles in 2017) but that was easily preventable and Zim blew it badly.
