Exactly my thoughts. Robison extension was not one of managements better ideas. That and Robison just need more breathers.Demi wrote: I am hoping by the start of the regular season we have a new starter at Robison's spot...
Yes that seems to be the plan.. its smart especially as the season wears on...I think they plan on rotating them a lot. It will both maximize Robison's usefulness and allows Hunter to not be completely thrown in or feel too much pressure.
I just counted FOUR times, where you mentioned he should start over Robison in this thread alone. You're averaging one Robison comment per page. I think we get it dude, you're trying to stir the pot. However, your logic behind a 20 year old, raw, project player starting over an older veteran is about as senseless as it gets. Try to actually watch these preseason games and maybe you'll realize that Hunter isn't anywhere close to starting. He has struggled to get by 2nd and 3rd teamers let alone 1st team guys.Demi wrote: I am hoping by the start of the regular season we have a new starter at Robison's spot...
Try to actually watch Robison is REAL games and maybe you'll realize why I'm repeatedly bringing this up. I clearly stated last season to focus on Robison in games and you'd see what I'm talking about, obviously you didn't. Others did, and in the following weeks supported my position.Try to actually watch these preseason games and maybe you'll realize that Hunter isn't anywhere close to starting.
Rarely do I agree with Demi's (at times) harsh cynicism, yet I couldnt agree more here. Your just flat out wrong on this one php, hunter has not only impressed coaches to the point of getting in the rotation with the one's throughout the preseason, he has been dominant. I did a detailed analysis of every snap he took so far and to say that the kid has been phenomenally dominant would not be an egregious misrepresentation.Demi wrote: Try to actually watch Robison is REAL games and maybe you'll realize why I'm repeatedly bringing this up. That is one of the main reasons switching systems hurts teams.. Look at Oakland they have not had one system for more than one season or so...BRob is an average / above average cover 2 pass rusher. He's a liability in this defense. I brought it up multiple times last season. Finally resorting to asking posters to focus on him. And when they finally did, they saw what I was seeing the entire season. He's a liability. He doesn't have the size/physicality to do what he's being asked to do. He seems to have added mass this offseason, and still can't do the job.
He was drafted to play in a cover 2, we brought in a new defensive system. And he's hurting the team in it. Week 1, watch him. The GM signed/extended him for a different system, and we're paying for it. There are backup defensive tackles who could do his job better.
I never once said Robison was playing well so that's just typical you putting words into my mouth. WHAT I SAID WAS, if you think a raw, project 20 year old should be starting over Robison, you really are clueless. He was struggling against 2nd and 3rd teamers and is nowhere near ready. You obviously hear what you want to hear and read what you want to read. I never once defended Robisons play last year. I simply said, Hunter is nowhere near close to starting. You just want to continue to bring up Robison 20 times in a thread like you're proving something new. We get it.Demi wrote: Try to actually watch Robison is REAL games and maybe you'll realize why I'm repeatedly bringing this up.
