Yankey was an all-american at two positions, team captain... I still can't figure it out. Maybe some had him projected at tackle but he'll play guard here and I think really give Johnson a run for his money in camp.
It probably had something to do with not being an elite prospect at either so both tackles AND other guards were being favored and when teams satisfied their needs on the O-line we just lucked out having him fall to us.

We have an extra 7th so how about Micheal Sam? As a mizzou fan my entire life I always want the Vikings to pick a mizzou player and they never do.
Mettenburger
McCarron
Murray
Sam
Micheal sam
L'dnaim Washington (spelling is bad)
Marcus Lucas

Chris Davis from Auburn would be a pretty good pick up to. He's 5'10 but he can play on the outside.

I also agree lets try mccullers as a big body to eat up blockers. Wow what a huge human being. I see san fran took my sleeper pick of aaron lynch. He is going to a good place to learn at. He is gonna be a stud.

Yeah...No idea why some of these dudes slip. Makes me wonder what NFL GM's know that we don't. Yankey appears to be a huge steal though. Especially since it perfectly fits a Vikings needs.
Wondering now why Skov is falling. I thought he was a projected 2nd-3rd rounder.

I want the best we can do at CB or S with this next pick, get zimmer a project to work with on defense imo. Then with our early 6th take Aaron Murray preferably or Mccaron / Mettenberger.

Shayne Skov, James Morris, Purifoy, Roberson, Bailey, McCullers, Ty Zimmerman, and Michael Sam would be good players to add into the fold.

Thats my hope. Decent measurables, but strong intangibles. He could grow into very solid contributor.
