It's over. They'll probably put up a reply later.

Outside of the 4 undefeated teams, the Vikings have the longest win streak. Or, we could say that they have the 5th longest active win streak. Which ever works best for you.

Another close game and yet another W. Even the pessimist in me realizes that this is a great thing. Mainly, from what we've seen, a huge testament to the defense. There's not much better in football fandom viewership when you have a lock down/shutdown defense. Invigorating is the word. Right, Jim? (and others)...Wasn't alive for the PPE, but it's so exhilarating! Keep getting better, is the hope.

Offense another performance that leaves you with, meh!...Those on this board familiar with me might understand that I'm an incurable optimist, but rather realistic when trying to evaluate this offense (this internal matchup of homer vs. football observer) and as much as I love our Teddy bear...It needs to be way better. First off, I hope that TB is 100% OK. Concussions and the like are an ugly side of the sport, but unavoidable, rules be damned. Secondly, AP came up big today, no? Stats will say something, sure, but his ability to get yards on first down and then on any down in general today was a big factor, in my opinion, as to why they were able to sustain any semblance of a drive on offense. Especially on scoring drives.

6-2? And the Packers are 6-2? Forget how it got to this, but the Vikings pass rush can get to Rodgers. Makes this race closer than outside observers might realize when the games are upon us. I DO NOT think this Vikings team in its current state is a division winner, but the W's keep coming and the opportunity is there. Never know, I suppose.

Lastly, I think this was must-win in the sense of what the schedule shows us with what's coming up. 6-2 is huge! .500 the rest of the way gives this team a very good shot at the Wild card. Anything better than going 4-4 to end the year means the playoff possibility multiplies, in a sense. Lots of improvements to be made, but the defense is very encouraging (without two of their top guys today even!) and things..."things" are possible right now. *deep breath and sigh* Should be fun. We'll see...

@christomasson Matt Kalil: “When you’re trying to take cheap shots and possibly blow out our quarterback’s knee, it’s a little too far. They try to get you to retaliate, get a 15-yard penalty, personal foul. We didn’t play into that.’’’’
@christomasson #Vikings tackle Matt Kalil on Rams cheap shots: “It just says a lot for the character of their team, trying to hurt guys after the play.’’

I didn't look too much into it, but there might be something to that -- the cheap shots. I've always looked at Fisher's teams as being "tough," so I might have overlooked the dirty, but I believe I've heard the same thing from the media/fanbase here in Seattle in regards to the Rams being a dirty team.

It's rather interesting reading Scott Fujita's Twitter timeline...

I like Jeff Fisher, so I don't think that he would condone dirty play like that... however, this teams have taken out three QBs this season, including Rothlisberger, on a very low hit that looked suspect to me. I still think that it has to do more with Gregg Williams than anything else.
