the draft talk makes me irate. there isn't a luck in this draft, get over it. i'm sick of seeing them lose.

very proud of the way the team fought to win. the offense had a really great game, although the skins D is ranked lower than ours. the defense was in lala land for about 2 1/2 quarters tonight, but stepped up when it mattered. carlson had a great game which was much needed after the rudolph injury. ponder had his best game of the year. special teams was solid again. this is a really banged up team which seemed to give everything to win tonight. they sure don't make it easy on themselves, but outscoring the skins 20-3 in the 2nd half was great to watch. as bad as the defense was, they had 2 goaline stands. great win and they get a few extra days to recoup.

No matter who the what is in the draft, if your front office isn't completely incompetent (pff haha) a better pick means the first chance what whatever talent there is.

Have fun with this "win".

Not happening. It's embarrassing enough that he showed other family members. ;) I usually stand 3 feet from my TV when the game is intense. I suppose he thought that last play was a great opportunity to get some sort of ridiculous reaction either way. It just so happened that my screen went black on that entire play. It cut off and came back on just in time for me to see Sherels signaling no touchdown. Needless to say, in between that, I was freaking out. "Oh my God!!! What the frick?!? It just cut out!!! No!!! Oh my God!" I was putting my hands on my head and was just losing it. Then I realized he was recording and told him he better not be. Turned back and yelled at the TV some more. lol. Then it came back on and I realized what happened. I waited a few seconds to make sure there was no funny business or phony calls. Then I ran over to him and shook him! "We won! We fricken won!!!" I can't believe I get so excited about this team after the horrible season. I guess I can't help it. :)

Maybe that wouldn't be so bad. After all, we have four QB's on the roster. One of them has to have some natural immunity.

Meh. I want Frazier gone OR everyone on his staff gone by the end of the year. But if one is to malign Frazier for a team in total disarray (which I think we are despite the euphoric win), one has to give him credit if everyone is still playing hard.

I think that's fair. Yes the Redskins are bad (with still more wins than the Vikings I feel obligated to point out). Yes I believe the team is in disarray, as well. But... to be 1-7 and down by 10 points at the half, the Vikings did not "quit" this game as they have been accused of in the past. Frazier, for all his faults (real and imagined), is able to motivate the team to play.

Why do you think it has anything to do with Fraizer? He and Williams have been throwing the D under the bus all year with the 'lack of execution' excuses. Just because people or players 'like' him doesn't translate to respecting him as a HC.

If the team playing hard has nothing to do with Frazier, then the team playing poorly has nothing to do with Frazier. I choose to believe the head coach has influence (to varying degrees) on all aspects of a team's performance (including execution BTW). Doesn't it seem hypocritical to assess blame on the HC for poor execution, but not give him credit if they are motivated?

The fact that the players are trying hard to win seems like respect for the HC to me. Like and Respect are two different animals, but they are not mutually exclusive. I think Frazier's players like him (for the most part) and I think they also respect him (for the most part). This isn't a coach who 'throws the D under the bus'. If anything, it has been comical seeing him during pressers downplay how bad the defensive execution has been.

Frazier would have described the pic below as: "We need to execute our hurdle jumping a little more efficiently"

I'm inclined to agree with that particular assessment.

As of now I think we still pick #3 but there are a few 2-6 teams (falcons, giants, texans, and steelers) where if they lose on sunday then we'll be tied at 2-7 and we could drop a few spots.

W/o Rudy, how many times will Ponder target John Freakin' Carlson? I'd say 6 times, he loves his TE check down, despite the suckle that is Carlson.

My instincts were right--Carlson was a favorite target for Ponder. But Carlson showed up BIG TIME and played a great game. 7 catches 98 yards! I thought by predicting 6 I was very likely to be over.

Your instincts might have been right but you also was saying pretty much that Carlson sucks. Guess he might have proved a whole lot of people that they were wrong about him, at least for one game. He needs to get more involved in games and that is obvious. Maybe this will turn out to be a good signing just like Simpson is.

Those weren't checkdowns to Carlson. We've seen checkdowns to Carlson before. His only reception this year over 9 yards was in last week's game after Rudolph had been knocked out. Against the Redskins, he _averaged_ 14 yards per catch. Big difference.
