This is, of course, worthless information. But even as such, it makes me happier:

SI's Round 2 draft grades wrote:23 (54). Minnesota Vikings
Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
GRADE: A+
Analysis: How Alexander dropped to the end of the second round is a mystery, except to say that a lot of teams have biases against 5' 10" cornerbacks when they shouldn't. Alexander is the best man coverage cornerback in this class, and he'll be a perfect fit in Mike Zimmer's aggressive defense. In the slot or outside, Alexander is at least a round better than this pick would indicate.

So one thing that really concerns me is that we essentially still don't have an answer at safety. I respect Michael Griffin, but this isn't the same Michael Griffin who went the Pro Bowl a few years ago.

Cash is available although I suspect not for long.

Are you kidding? The Packers O linemen picks have been great as of recent, Bahktiari, Linsley, Bulaga, Tretter, Sitton (Though he has been around a while) That is why the Packers starting O line is considered among the best in the league when healthy. I'd like to hear exactly who on the Packers starting O line you find to be injury prone or "middling' because I can already assure you, the on field statistics do not back that claim up.

Im excited as #### for Spriggs, one of the best O linemen in the draft, he is a guy my Dad wanted badly so im happy we got him.

Do you actually believe that? I dont, I think he was a guy that should have been off the board by then, and I think the Bears were just about to take him.

it almost seems like zimmer had to be bargained with to actually take an offensive player in the first round. doesn't he realize how awful our offense was last year? one rookie receiver isn't going to chance that (at least not all that much). we have so many more needs than a cb i think this pick was totally idiotic.

Well I'd love to hear why you think he is/was overrated, he had a 97.7 pass blocking efficiency in college, and was just curious if you are actually basing your comments on something. (Barring injury, he most likely is going to be a backup this year anyway, unless he plays decidedly well enough to knock off one of the starters)

I also would wager that practically noone views this as a weak tackle class, in fact, by all accounts this is a very strong linemen class in general.

I liked your guys 2nd round pick btw, im interested, how the #### is Andrew Billings still available? Jeesh, he was my pick in the first for petes sake.

don't me wrong I love the Boone signing and the right tackle Smith
should give us insurance at right tackle and push Loadholt.

To think that we have fixed the OL long term is wrong IMO. granted the tackles were
mostly gone but the interior OL we could have fixed more. No I am not saying Treadwell
won't work out. I still think An very good center and a guard or two would have really
benefited this team long term.

Obviously, very interesting we take cornerback in second round a year after taking Trae Waynes in first.
I feel it was more a luxury pick more than a need.
Even though Alexander looks decent l'm not overjoyed. Apparently they figure the upgrades to the OL was enough.

Or they may feel there is adequate enough players at that position that remain available, and didn't want to reach on a need.
