I don't see a team picking him up. He's made it clear he only want's to play here. If a teams picks him up he'll just say F it I'll retire without a farewell tour.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 5:54 pmYeah that is true but if some team picks him up, I just hope he does not go to a division rivalVikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 5:50 pm
I could easily see Griffen not clearing waivers. His contract is so team friendly another team might take a chance on him.

He isn't subject to waivers so he would have to agree to a new contract for any team that wanted to sign him.CharVike wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 7:38 amI don't see a team picking him up. Not sure why another team wouldn't take a shot at him either after what he did in just 4 snaps in preseason. He beat his man at least 3 of the 4 pass rushes and 2 resulted in sacks even if he only recorded the one.

Since he was a free agent the interest had to be mutual. So it could have just been that Griffen wasn't interested.CharVike wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 5:30 amWell he's back. So much for outside interest.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 10:29 am

The Vikings did bump up his pay by about 200K. Ended up working out for Griff.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 12:22 pmSince he was a free agent the interest had to be mutual. So it could have just been that Griffen wasn't interested.
