UGLINESS. We just lost to a pretty weak football team missing lots of key players.

The Vikes need it the whole game. Waiting until the ends of games is not going to get it done in the pros.Lash Man wrote:Well I have to say Ponder did play better when he needed it we just have a pathetic defense thats all there is too it .
They came back and scored 14 points in the 4th quarter. That always puts a smile on my face.PurpleKoolaid wrote: Losing it in the last seconds makes ya feel better?
Indy helped that tremendously by trying to run repeatedly. Had they kept their ears pinned back and passed it wouldn't have been nearly that close.JellyBean2144 wrote:Crap!! So close. At least we are making some gains. I thought that we would get blew out the way we played in the 1st half. That 2nd half, we made a good run. So close. I think that we are going to be ok. Still seeing 4 or 5 wins though.
a broken clock is right twice a day.Purplemania wrote:I'm less of a Ponder fan than when we draft him, but during our 2 minute offense he really shows he can play....I'm now more convince it's Frazier and Musgrave chaining him down because they want to be conservative. They want him to be a game manager.
Defense was horrible for most of the game, but the offensive playcalling and decision-making by Ponder is just as bad if not worse. When the Vikings were forced to start passing and did, they moved the ball and scored.hibbingviking wrote:worst defense in the league.

What is the obvious lesson, not just from this game, but from other successful teams as well? Pass the ball. Run to keep the defense honest, but you have to throw it, and throw it past 10 yards, to have success.
Just wait till the Vikes play a good team next week and see what you think.JellyBean2144 wrote:Crap!! So close. At least we are making some gains. I agree with this. We can get some1st downs, but it takes forever if you're only moving 10-12 yards per 1st down you pick up.VikingLord wrote: What is the obvious lesson, not just from this game, but from other successful teams as well?
